Abbasi Hotel was built in 1128 SH as a caravanserai on the orders of Shah Sultan Hussein Safavi. He presented this inn to his mother, which is why the Abbasi Hotel was called the King's Mother Caravanserai during the old days.

Abbasi Caravanserai was renovated in 1336 SH and became a guesthouse and renamed Shah Abbasi guest house. At the time of construction of this hotel, they tried to restore the caravanserai's remains and design the building in harmony with the Iranian culture and architecture of Safavid dynasty.
