The Calgary Stampeders have acquired non-import receiver Simon Charbonneau-Campeau from the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in exchange for non-import receiver Spencer Armstrong. Charbonneau-Campeau played 27 games over two seasons with Hamilton, making a total of nine catches for 115 yards. He made two starts in 2013 including a July 7 game against Edmonton in which he had a career-high five receptions for 63 yards. "Simon has great size and ability and will add to the depth of our Canadian receiving corps," said Stampeders head coach and general manager John Hufnagel. "I look forward to seeing him in action when he reports to training camp." The six-foot-four native of St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Que., is a former Universite de Sherbrooke star who was selected in the fourth round (25th overall) by Hamilton in the 2012 CFL Canadian Draft. He played four seasons at Sherbrooke and finished his career as the schools all-time leader in receptions (138) and receiving yards (2,477). Armstrong, a six-foot-one native of Toronto, Ontario, finished the 2013 season on the Stampeders practice roster after suiting up for one game. He was selected by Calgary in the fourth round (28th overall) of the 2009 CFL Draft and joined the Stamps in August of 2013 following the completion of his service commitment with the U.S. Air Force.
