TORONTO -- The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed forward Ryan Rupert to a three-year entry level contract. The 19-year-old Rupert played for the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League this season, putting up 21 goals, 52 assists, 54 penalty minutes and a plus-36 rating in 68 regular-season games. In 10 playoff games thus far with the Knights, the five-foot-nine, 190-pound centre has three goals, seven assists and 10 penalty minutes. Evgeni Nabokov stopped 17 shots to hand the Capitals their first shutout of the season and end their seven-game, home-winning streak.
