BANGKOK VaporMax Off White Solde , April 13 (Xinhua) -- People across Thailand on Sunday kicked off their three-day merrymaking for the water-splashing Songkran festival, or the Thai New Year, under little, if any, shadow of the prolonged political tension.
Thousands of people in all age groups and from numerous countries crammed into Silom road in downtown Bangkok, one of the major venues designated for celebrating the festival.
Marching along the road VaporMax Laceless Solde , the people, many of them in festive costumes, keep firing water cannons of various sizes and shapes at anyone they see, strangers or friends alike. Some even use long hoses.
Music is being played out loud, mixed with laughing and cheering.

Twelve roads in Bangkok will be temporarily closed from Sunday evening until Tuesday to provide safe venues for Songkran revelers, Traffic Division Commander Jirasan Keawsaeng-Ake said.
At the city's Lumpini Park, the main rally site of anti- government protesters Air Max 97 Or Solde , tourists are allowed to enter during the festival, but for security concerns, they cannot bring in their own water or water cannons.

Suthep and his supporters conducted a merit-making ceremony at the park and offered food to monks in the morning.
Thai caretaker Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra also took part in a merit-making ceremony in northern Chiang Mai province and reportedly offered food to 109 monks.
Yingluck said she wished the Thai people and the country would overcome all setbacks in the end and embrace the good.
Giving food offerings to monks, getting together with families and releasing fish and birds are also important Songkran rituals. Besides Thailand, Songkran is also celebrated in Cambodia Air Max 97 Undefeated Solde , Laos, Myanmar and southern China.
Lego has won a landmark case in China against two companies that manufactured and sold toys almost identical to its LEGO Friends range but branded Bela, the Danish toymaker said.
It is the first time that Lego has succeeded in a copyright competition case in China, where copies of its colorful bricks and figures have been a recurrent problem as it seeks to gain share in the multibillion-dollar toys and games market.
Earlier this year, the Beijing Higher Court passed a ruling that recognized the Lego logo and name in Chinese as “well-known” trademarks in China, putting the toymaker in a better position to act against infringement of its trademarks.
China Shantou Intermediate People’s Court had ruled that certain Bela products infringed upon Lego copyrights and that manufacturing and selling those products constituted “acts of unfair competition Air Max 97 Ultra Solde ,” Lego said yesterday.
The court also decided that Lego is protected under Chinese “anti-unfair competition law” for “the distinctive and unique appearance of certain decorative aspects of its packaging across particular product lines (in this case, LEGO Friends).”
Capturing the imaginations of Chinese children with its bricks is key to reviving growth for the unlisted company after disappointing revenues in its core United States and European markets brought an end to a decade-long sales boom.
Lego, whose name is derived from the Danish “leg godt” meaning “play well,” is competing with Barbie maker Mattel and Hasbro, the firm behind My Little Pony, for a slice of the Chinese market.
The case was filed against two Chinese firms Air Max 97 Noir Blanche et Solde , which have been manufacturing and selling Bela products almost identical to Lego’s.
“We think this is very important for the continued development of a favorable business environment for all companies operating in the Chinese market,” said Peter Thorslund Kjaer, Lego’s vice president of legal affairs.
