Continuing recent months' upward trend, the BIST index startedMonday at 109,105.09 points -- its highest opening of all time.
The index has risen nearly 41 percent since 2017, compared toits close of 77,754.46 points on Jan. 2, the year's first tradingday.
The index has advanced by 42.7 percent year-on-year, comparedwith its weekly close at 76,057.68 points on Aug. 5, 2016.
